What is the posterolateral corner of the knee?

The posterolateral corner of the knee, also called PLC, is often referred to as the dark side of the knee. This is because of the limited understanding of the biomechanics, structures and treatment options for this area of the knee. In recent years, orthopedic surgeons, like Dr. Armando Vidal, have completed a number of studies which have led to a greater understanding of the PLC and associated reconstruction techniques.

In this video: Posterolateral Corner Reconstruction With the FiberTag® TightRope® Implant, Dr. Armando Vidal demonstrates the best practice techniques for reconstruction of the PCL.

He will go through the steps of how to complete this complex knee reconstruction, using an allograft.
